Helpful Hints & Tips
To see what activities are on and to pre-book before your holiday, please visit haven.com/experience four weeks before your arrival date. You can also book activities at the Activity Booking Point on park during your stay, subject to availability. If you want to book activities for your arrival day, please make sure bookings are made for after your arrival time or they may be cancelled. You can book your arrival day activities on haven.com/experience 7 days before your arrival date.
Activities are only available to our Holiday guests, Private Let guests who have purchased a Play Pass and our owners. Please bring your Play Pass or Privilege Card with you. We reserve the right to refuse access if you cannot show a valid pass or card.
Please see haven.com/experience 7 days before arrival for your allocated check-in time. Please do not arrive before your allocated check-in time. If you arrive outside of your designated time, we may kindly ask for you to wait until a member of team becomes available to assist.
Arriving late: please let us know on haven.com/experience when you get your allocated arrival time. We will then know to expect you later.
Get your sizzle on in safety. Please keep barbecues away from holiday homes, verandas and the external gas bottles. They must also be elevated and please use a non-disposable barbecue. Be sure that they’re completely put out before you leave them.
Bars and restaurants
We have three venues for wining or dining: our Quayside Café Bar and the Live Lounge entertainment venue, home to our Entertainment Cast, the Seaside Squad, and live acts. Both venues are in the main complex, behind Reception. You can pre-book a restaurant table at haven.com/experience, four weeks before your holiday or by visiting the restaurant once on park. There will be no table bookings in entertainment venues and tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The nearest beach access is by the seal sanctuary, opposite the park; come out of the main entrance and turn left; at the end of the road, turn right on the corner, and you’ll come to The Ferry Boat Inn. Head down the side of the inn, and hit the sand!
The bus stops are opposite the park, on the other side of the road, the number 15 takes you into Mablethorpe. If you need information on local bus routes, please see the Reception team.
Our grassy areas are important to us. Please avoid parking on them and use the dedicated space next to, or near your holiday accommodation. Please also be considerate of your neighbours too. We have Blue Badge spaces in the main complex for those who need them.
Our amusement arcade is mainly cashless. You'll need to purchase a Playcard from the Playcard Kiosk or Prize Shop, top up the card and tap it on the card readers to play. Don’t forget to register your card in case you lose it! If you do lose your card, speak to a member of our friendly team in the kiosk or prize shop and they will cancel your card and will replace it with a new one with any remaining credit and awards. We have 2p and 10p coin pushers for coins and, on request, we can convert 20p, 50p and £1 coins to money on a card if you want to use other games within the arcade. Any credit and awards not used can be saved for your next visit to Golden Sands – no refunds will be given
Our cash machines are inside the arcade and next to the launderette. Cashback is available in our Mini Market and all bar areas (minimum spend applies).
All good things come to an end – please check out by 10am and return any keys or hired items to Reception. If you need to leave early doors, you can drop your keys off with Security at the gate on departure.
We can’t give you eyes in the back of your head, but we can give you a brightly coloured wristband for little ones, in case they wander off. Come and see us at Reception and we’ll add your contact details to it.
We’re fond of dogs on park and most breeds are welcome, just keep them on a lead at all times. Guide and service dogs are welcome inside our venues. We have a large dog-walking area on the park, and also direct access to a dog-friendly beach. We have bins around the park for cleaning up after your pet.
We’re strict about speed on park. Please stick to 10mph when you’re driving around.
Electric vehicle (EV) charging points
Unfortunately, we do not provide this service. The nearest point is Tesco in Mablethorpe.
If you have an emergency, please call 999 and then our Reception and Security teams. This way we can direct them straight to you and come to your aid while you wait. If it’s not an emergency but you’d still like help, please call our Reception on 01507 477871 or our Security team on 07714 836981 as we have trained first-aiders on the park. Out-of-hours, please call our Security team.
Find out what’s on during your holiday four weeks before you arrive by downloading the My Haven app. There will be no table bookings in entertainment venues and tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Extend your stay
If you’d like to stay a little longer, come and see us in Reception and we can check availability and prices for you.
It’s always good to hear how we could have made your holiday even better. But if you have anything you’d like to tell us, pop into Reception for a chat.
While you’re busy making memories, you might want a little memento of your trip. We have holiday gifts, treats and essentials on sale at the Mini Market and Wonderbar.
For a small charge, we have to hire: bed guards, highchairs, pushchairs, travel cots and irons, subject to availability and a £10 deposit for each hire good item. We recommend you book in advance of arrival through your My Haven account, to avoid disappointment, but if you haven’t please pop to Reception and we’ll check availability for you. Please leave your hire goods in your accommodation on departure and your deposit will be refunded to the same card used to make the payment.
Holiday home ownership

Need an additional key for your holiday home? Pop into Reception and we’ll be happy to help – extra keys are subject to availability and require a deposit.
If you’ve had a big adventure, you might need a washing machine to clean you up again. Pop into our Mini Market where you can buy tokens for the launderette, as well as washing powder.
If you’ve mislaid a pair of swimming trunks, or Ted the Bear has gone missing, pop into Reception and we’ll see if someone has handed them in for you. We keep all lost property for 14 days, so you have plenty of time to check.
We want your holiday to be tip-top. If you find any niggles when you arrive, please tell us straight away. Let us know if you don’t want a team member to come in if you’re not there, and please tell us if you have any dogs in your accommodation as we won’t be able to come in without you.
Our Mini Market is open every day, so you can pick up any essentials.
Please note, due to national on-going supply issues, there may be occasions where our supermarkets are running low on some items of stock and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause in advance.
We want you to feel safe and secure on park. So if there’s anything worrying you at night or you need our help out-of-hours, please call our out-of-hours customer service team on 07714 836981.

Places of worship

If you're on a Haven holiday break, Play Passes give you access to book activities, pools and entertainment venues, subject to availability. Play Passes are not included in Haven Hideaway breaks.
We know how important a postcard to nan and grandad is when you’re on holiday, so drop in any prestamped post to us at Reception, and we’ll make sure it gets off for you. Or you can use the post box outside Reception.
If you’ve been lured by the bright lights of our amusement arcade, don’t forget to trade in your tickets at our prize shop before you leave.
No luck finding the TV remote? You can operate it from the set itself. We may even have another one at Reception so it’s worth asking just in case.
Please have your Fun Pass or holiday home key ready to show the team on the security barrier whenever you drive in.
Special requirements and accessibility
If you have any questions or have special requests please contact our Call Centre prior to booking, where we have specially trained advisors who can help with every aspect of your booking. They can discuss the suitability of the park. If you have any questions while on the park, please ask the Reception team.
Please book a session before coming to the indoor swimming pool. You can pre-book up to 14 sessions per holiday booking from 4 weeks before your arrival date on haven.com/experience. Alternatively, you can book sessions on park after you’ve arrived, subject to availability. After 6pm on Friday and Saturday and after 6pm during school and bank holidays, a booking isn’t needed so you can just turn up at the pool. Our outdoor pool is also available during the warmer months of the year, weather permitting, and there’s no need to book. Please check opening times with the Activity and Leisure team.
If you can’t have a takeaway on holiday, when can you? We have a Papa John’s® on our park just waiting for you to enjoy. Also, NEW for 2022, we have a Burger King®. Papa John’s® will also deliver directly to your accommodation if required. Please order your takeaway on haven.com/experience
Terrain of the park
The park is completely flat.
If you’re looking to explore the area, find a cracking local restaurant, or discover a nearby hidden gem, our Reception team can offer tips, advice, and recommendations. We have loads of tourist leaflets at Reception too.
Own up, who forgot to pack the towels? It’s okay, we provide towels (1 hand and 1 bath towel per person) in our Silver, Gold and Signature grade accommodation or you can hire some from Reception for a small charge and deposit.
You will need to arrange any upgrade prior to receiving your arrival time. Please contact the park and they will be happy to discuss upgrade options with you.
To maximise the opportunity for guests to access the swimming pools, activities, entertainment venue and restaurants included in their holiday package, all holidaymakers visiting our parks must be included on a valid holiday booking. Unfortunately, we don’t have the capacity on our parks to allow our guests to bring visitors to our parks.
Due to the remoteness of our holiday parks the WiFi signal can vary. We do have free guest WiFi available in the Quayside cafe bar. There is no WiFi in accommodation. The My Haven app works on Wifi and 4G, however if you do not have any signal, you can always book your activities with our Activity and Leisure team at the Activity Booking Point.
