Helpful Hints & Tips
To see what activities are on and to pre-book before your holiday, please visit the My Haven Experience app or haven.com/experience 12 weeks before your arrival date. You can also book activities at the Activity Booking Point on park during your stay, subject to availability. If you want to book activities for your arrival day, please make sure bookings are made for after your arrival time or they may be cancelled. You can book your arrival day activities on the My Haven Experience app or haven.com/experience 7 days before your arrival date.
Activities are only available to our Holiday guests, Private Let guests who have purchased a Play Pass and our owners. Please bring your Play Pass or Privilege Card with you. We reserve the right to refuse access if you cannot show a valid pass or card.
Please see the My Haven Experience app or haven.com/experience 7 days before arrival for your allocated check-in time.
Arriving late: please let us know on the My Haven Experience app or haven.com/experience when you get your allocated arrival time. We will then know to expect you later.
Get your sizzle on in safety. Please keep barbecues away from holiday homes, verandas and the external gas bottles. They must also be elevated and please use a non-disposable barbecue. Be sure that they’re completely put out before you leave them.
Bars and restaurants
We have three venues for wining or dining: Our Mash and Barrel restaurant, The Tower Bar and the ShowBar entertainment venue, home to our Entertainment Cast, the Seaside Squad, and live acts. All venues are inside the main complex. You can pre-book a restaurant table on the My Haven app or via haven.com/experience, 12 weeks before your holiday or by visiting the restaurant once on park. There will be no table bookings in entertainment venues and tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The nearest beach is four miles from here, at Goswick Sands. There are also beaches at Spittal and Bamburgh for you to enjoy.
There are bus stops on the A1, outside the park, and you can catch the X15 and X18 buses to Newcastle and Berwick-upon-Tweed. If you need any information on local bus routes, please see the Reception team.
Our grassy areas are important to us. Please avoid parking on them and use the dedicated space next to, or near your holiday accommodation. Please also be considerate of your neighbours too. We also have Blue Badge spaces in the main complex for those who need them.
Our cash machine is inside the main complex in the Mini Market and in the upper arcade, and they’re free to use. Cashback is available in our Mini Market and all bar areas (minimum spend applies).
Don’t go just yet! But if you have to, please remember check out is by 10am. Please pop your key into Reception or leave it with the Security team on the way out. Please also remember to return any hire goods to Reception. Once our team have confirmed the return of the hired goods, we will refund the deposit back onto the card that the payment was made from.
We can’t give you eyes in the back of your head, but we can give you a brightly coloured wristband for little ones, in case they wander off. Come and see us at Pool Reception and we’ll add your contact details to it.
We’re fond of dogs on park and most breeds are welcome, just keep them on a lead at all times. They are welcome on the decking area of the Mash and Barrel and we also have a dog walking area, and guide and service dogs are welcome inside our venues. The beaches in the local area are great for dogs too. We have bins around the park for cleaning up after your pet. You can walk in the local fields from the park.
We’re strict about speed on park. Please stick to 10mph when you’re driving around.
Electric vehicle (EV) charging points
Unfortunately, we do not provide this service. Chapel Street, Berwick or The Swan Centre, Berwick are the closest charging point to our park.
Find out what’s on during your holiday four weeks before you arrive, go to the My Haven app or visit haven.com/experience. There will be no table bookings in entertainment venues and tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you have an emergency, please call 999 and then our Reception and Security teams. This way we can direct them straight to you and come to your aid while you wait. If it’s not an emergency but you’d still like help, please call our Reception on 01289 381333 or our Security team on 07850 381614 as we have trained first-aiders on the park. Out-of-hours, please call our Security team.
Extend your stay
If you’d like to stay a little longer, come and see us at Reception and we can check availability and prices for you.
It’s always good to hear how we could have made your holiday even better. But if you have anything you’d like to tell us, pop into Reception for a chat.
While you’re busy making memories, you might want a little memento of your trip. We have holiday gifts, treats and essentials on sale at the Mini Market and Fun Shop.
For a small charge, we have to hire: bed guards, highchairs, pushchairs, travel cots, ironing boards and irons, subject to availability and a £10 deposit for each hire good item. We recommend you book in advance of arrival through your My Haven account, to avoid disappointment, but if you haven’t please pop to Reception and we’ll check availability for you. Please return your hire goods to Reception on departure and your deposit will be refunded to the same card used to make the payment.
Holiday home ownership

Need an additional key for your holiday home? Pop into Reception and we’ll be happy to help – extra keys are subject to availability and require a deposit.
If you’ve had a big adventure, you might need a washing machine to clean you up again. Pop into our Mini Market where you can buy tokens for the launderette, as well as washing powder.
If you’ve mislaid a pair of swimming trunks, or Ted the Bear has gone missing, pop into Reception and we’ll see if someone has handed them in for you. We keep all lost property for 14 days, so you have plenty of time to check.
We want your holiday to be tip-top. If you find any niggles when you arrive, please tell us straight away. Let us know if you don’t want a team member to come in if you’re not there, and please tell us if you have any dogs in your accommodation as we won’t be able to come in without you.
Our Mini Market is open every day, so you can pick up any essentials.
We want you to feel safe and secure on park. So if there’s anything worrying you at night or you need our help out-of-hours, please call our Security team on 07850 381614.

Places of worship
Our Reception team can give you any information you need on local places of worship.
If you're on a Haven holiday break, Play Passes give you access to book all the good stuff, like activities, swimming pools and entertainment venues. Play Passes are not included in Haven Hideaway breaks.
We know how important a postcard to Nan and Grandad is when you’re on holiday, so drop in any pre-stamped post to us at Reception, and we’ll make sure it gets off for you.
No luck finding the TV remote? You can operate it from the set itself. We may even have another one at Reception so it’s worth asking just in case.
Special requirements and accessibility
If you have any questions or have special requests please contact our Call Centre prior to booking, where we have specially trained advisors who can help with every aspect of your booking. They can discuss the suitability of the park. If you have any questions while on the park, please ask the Reception team.
We know that swimming is one of our most popular activities, so we have done everything we can to ensure as many of our guests get a chance to swim as possible.
For indoor swimming, you can book slots before and during your stay. From four weeks before your break start date, you'll be able to pre-book up to 14 swim slots per holiday booking. You'll also be able to book more slots once you arrive on park, should capacity allow.
Each swim slot lasts for 60 minutes and can be booked on the My Haven Experience app or at haven.com/experience. We're able to hold swim slots for up to 15 minutes, however if you fail to show after this time, the swim slot will be cancelled and given to another guest.
If you can’t have a takeaway on holiday, when can you? We have a Burger King®, Cook’s Fish and Chips and Papa John’s® on our park, just waiting for you to enjoy. They also deliver directly to your accommodation if required. Whether you’re ordering for collection, delivery or to eat in, all takeaway orders can be made via My Haven app or haven.com/experience.
Terrain of the park
The park is mostly flat with a small incline at the Golf Village.
If you want to explore the area, find a cracking local restaurant, or discover a nearby hidden gem, our Reception team can offer tips, advice, and recommendations. We have loads of tourist leaflets in Reception too.
We only provide towels (1 hand and 1 bath towel per person) in our Silver, Gold and Signature grade accommodation.
You will need to arrange any upgrade prior to receiving your arrival time. Please contact the park and they will be happy to discuss upgrade options with you.
To maximise the opportunity for guests to access the swimming pools, activities, entertainment venue and restaurants included in their holiday package, all holidaymakers visiting our parks must be included on a valid holiday booking. Unfortunately, we don’t have the capacity on our parks to allow our guests to bring visitors to our parks.
Due to the remoteness of our holiday parks the WiFi signal can vary. We do have free guest WiFi available in the Mash and Barrel restaurant. Unfortunately, there is no WiFi in our accommodation. The My Haven Experience app works on Wifi and 4G, however if you do not have any signal, you can always book your activities with our Activity and Leisure team at the Activity Booking Point.
