Touring FAQs

Annexes, gazebos and event shelters

We don’t allow annexes, gazebos or event shelters on the touring field, to allow a comfortable camping area for all.

Awnings

Awning space is available on selected Electric pitches and all Super Electric pitches, but we don’t allow sleeping in awnings.

Barbecues

Who doesn’t love a barbecue? While sizzling your sausages, remember to stay safe. Please keep barbecues well away from accommodation. They must also be elevated. Be sure that they’re completely put out before you leave them. We also stock disposable BBQs in our on-site supermarkets.

Belongings

Please take good care of your belongings and secure any items of value. Guests are responsible for their own property.

Car parking

There’s space for one car next to your pitch. You can park additional cars in the main car park.

Check-in time

Your arrival slot will be sent by email 7 days prior to your arrival day.

Checking out

When it’s time to say goodbye, we kindly ask that you please leave your pitch and the park by 10am.

Continental Tourers

Continental tourers are welcome. Please tell us if you are bringing one so we can add to your booking.

Commercial vehicle

Due to the size of our parking areas, we cannot accept any commercial vehicles on our touring field.

Dogs

Your four-legged friends are our four-legged friends! Most breeds of dog are welcome here. Guide and service dogs may come inside the facilities, but please keep all other dogs outside and on a lead at all times (sorry Rover). We have doggy waste bags in Reception, and bins around the park for cleaning up after your pet.

Electric connection

To use the electric supply, you’ll need a camping lead to attach to the electric boxes; we recommend the lead be at least 10m long. You’ll need only the three-pin plug end (the male end of the connection), as we have the female end. Please note: all our pitches are 16-amp.

Fire pits

For the safety of all our guests, we cannot allow any ground fires or use of fire pits.

Gas

Run out of gas? No worries – we offer bottle exchange for standard Calor bottles.

Generators

Please do not use a generator during your stay with us.

Launderette

If you’ve had a big adventure, you might need a washing machine to clean you up again. Pop into our Mini Market where you can buy tokens for the launderette, as well as washing powder.

Long lets

Are you already planning your next holiday (or five!) with us? A great-value way to enjoy time with us is to take advantage of our monthly let offers. Call Reception team to find out more.

Pot wash

Who’s on washing-up duty?! Keep your pans clean at the pot wash, located in the main touring block.

Pup tents

Unfortunately, we cannot allow Pup Tents.

Shower block

We have two amenity blocks, accessible by a key code system, and both have showers, toilets, urinals (in the men’s area) and standard sockets. There’s central heating throughout the main shower and toilet area. There is also five shaving points in each of the men’s shower blocks and two hairdryers in both the women’s and men’s blocks.

Touring field

The field is flat and grassy. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the park main facilities.

Waste points

There are grey-waste disposal areas within the red-roof water points in the centre of the field – these are ground level, and easy to use. The Elsan Points are in both shower blocks and have a tap to rinse out toilet cassettes. Motorhomes have a drain-off point in the service area, next to the Touring Reception.

Water points

We have two main water points with three taps on each – these are in the middle of the field and identified by their red roofs. There’s also a small, single water point in the horseshoe area of the field beside pitch number 89, and a tap in the motorhome service point.
