Pre-arrival information: self-catering holidays

We know that there can be a lot to think of when getting ready for your holiday. Below we hope to answer any questions you may have ahead of your arrival and ensure you have a fab holiday with us!

How do I check in?

When you arrive, a member of our team will be on hand to meet you at the park entrance where you will be initially checked in using your car registration.

You will find your keys in your accommodation on arrival. You can find the park map and other useful information to make the most of your holiday and information about our accommodation - on the Haven app. You'll be given your play passes at the gate on arrival or they'll be in your accommodation with the key.

What shall I bring with me?

The lead-up to your holiday is always exciting and we don’t want you to forget anything, so here’s a little checklist:

  • Washing-up bits; including cloths and washing-up liquid.
  • Swimming kits and sports gear so you can enjoy all the activities on your holiday
  • Towels, tea towels and oven gloves (towels are included in Gold and Signature grades)
  • Toilet rolls (1 provided) and toiletries
  • Hairdryer (a hairdryer will be supplied in Silver, Gold and Signature grades)
  • Your personal holiday belongings
  • You may also want to bring an iron

Check out our caravan holiday checklist for a comprehensive list of what to bring with you.

If you forget something, don't worry as we have shops and services on park for all your needs.

Can I park next to my accommodation?

Depending on the accommodation grade you've booked, you will either have a space next to your accommodation or in a communal area a short distance away.

Can I hire items such as high chairs and travel cots for my baby?

We know it’s not always possible to squeeze everything you need into your car. That’s why we have a range of hire goods available. You can hire them via My Account before your holiday starts.

Is all accommodation heated?

All of our accommodation has either a gas fire or electric heater in the lounge area. Nights can be chilly at certain times of the year, so if you feel the cold or have young children, you may wish to bring an extra blanket or duvet. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Signature caravans guarantee heating in the bedrooms and the bathroom.

How do I book a table at a restaurant on park?

If you fancy treating yourself to a meal out whilst on holiday with us, here’s everything you need to know about how to book a table at one of our restaurants.

Bookings will open 12 weeks from the start of your holiday and you’ll be able to book tables for the duration of your break on the My Haven Experience app or via haven.com/experience

Don’t worry if you don’t know in advance when you’d like to eat as we’ll also be able to take restaurant bookings on park.

How do I order at a takeaway on park?

From Papa John’s to Burger King, there’s plenty of takeaway options available across our parks if you don’t feel like cooking.

Whether you’re ordering for collection, delivery or to eat in, all takeaway orders can be made via My Haven Experience app or haven.com/experience

How do I book activities?

To make planning your holiday as easy as possible, activity bookings will open 12 weeks from the start of your holiday and be available for the entire duration of your break.

You’ll be able to make your bookings via the My Haven Experience app or at haven.com/experience and will be able to book both free and paid for activities. Activity bookings can also be made once you arrive on park, however due to limited capacity, we’d always recommend booking in advance to ensure you get everything you’re after!

If you want to book activities for your arrival day, please make sure bookings are made for after your arrival time or they may be cancelled. Please note, you’ll be able to book activities for your first day via the Activity Booking Point on park once you’ve checked in (subject to availability).

How do I secure swimming slots?

We know that swimming is one of our most popular activities, so we have done everything we can to ensure as many of our guests get a chance to swim as possible.

For indoor swimming, you can book slots before and during your stay. From four weeks before your break start date, you'll be able to pre-book up to 14 swim slots per holiday booking. You'll also be able to book more slots once you arrive on park, should capacity allow.

Each swim slot lasts for 60 minutes and can be booked on the My Haven Experience app or at haven.com/experience. We're able to hold swim slots for up to 15 minutes, however if you fail to show after this time, the swim slot will be cancelled and given to another guest.

There's no booking required to use our outdoor pools which will be open from May half term until the end of August Bank Holiday. If the weather allows, simply turn up when you fancy an outdoor swim.

And don’t forget anyone visiting our pools will need to bring their Play Passes with them!

Where can I find out what entertainment is on during my stay?

From amazing shows to interactive quizzes, there’s never a dull moment in our entertainment venues!

There is no booking required to enter our venues and you’re free to come and watch the shows as you please – but don’t forget to bring your Play Pass! We’ll have both table seating and standing at the bar available and will operate a first come first serve basis for the venues should we become a little busy.

If you want to find out what shows we’ve got running ahead of visiting our venues, you’ll be able to check out our entertainment guides on the My Haven Experience app or at haven.com/experience. Guides will be available for each park and you’ll be able to access them four weeks in advance of your break.

Is there a supermarket on park?

Our Mini Market is open every day so you can pick up any essentials.

Can I use the park facilities before I check in to my accommodation?

If you want to make the most of your self-catering holiday, you can arrive up to 2 hours before your designated arrival time, providing it's not earlier than 11am, and you'll be able to make use of the restaurants, arcades, shops and have free roam of outdoor spaces on the park.

If you have a 12pm-1pm designated check-in, you'll only be able to arrive 1 hour before your arrival time.
